The Liberty Foundation provides funding of wages for clerks-in-training at our retail employment program, Liberty Fresh Market. The Foundation also helps individuals to maintain employment in the community by underwriting part of the transportation costs for those in our supported employment program. Additionally, the Foundation Board has allocated funds in support of Liberty ARC’s recently opened computer lab and learning center, which opened in the Spring of 2017.
Most recently, the Foundation has been active in raising funds for a sensory playground that was built on the Liberty ARC campus. This unique and innovative play space will benefit not only those we support but the community as well. Read this story about Ben and Sam, two young men that will benefit from this project. Funds have also been raised in order to establish a traveling theater program for all supported through the agency. This program will provide an exciting opportunity for those we support to experience the performing arts and interact with their peers as well as the community. Donate here to help make a difference!
In the past, Liberty Foundation has provided funding for Family Support Programs and other worthy programs benefiting individuals with developmental and other disabilities in the community. The Foundation also has supported community projects such as partial funding of the elevator at Amsterdam Free Library, access ramps for churches attended by individuals in program and grants to local agencies offering services to children with mental health issues.
Liberty Foundation is committed to supporting programs that benefit individuals with disabilities.
